Hey, I have a 13 inch macbook pro and I really want to play Beamng, but I only found windows download applications so is it possible to make a iOS version? And im really sure this thing can handle it, because it's a really powerful laptop. Or just make it for the iMac users. thanks
Not coming to iOS due to limitations of iPhones and not compatible with Mac OS. It will be this way for a while. If you want to install BeamNG.drive on your macbook, you could attempt to duel-boot your system with Windows 7. Here's an official tutorial by Apple here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205016
You must mean OSX, right? iOS is for phones and tablets. But no, I highly doubt that it's going to happen in any near future. According to Steam Survey, marketshare of OSX is 32(!!!) times smaller than of Windows. That is why I don't see it happening. Also, none of MacBooks or iMacs are made for gaming. Yeah, some newer top of the line ones *could* run BeamNG easily with less cars or lower settings, but little older devices or midrange models would just deliver subpar experience. If some Mac users are die-hard BeamNG fans, they can: 1)Boot Windows and try BeamNG that way (as far as I know) 2)Buy a cheapo gaming PC. If you can afford a Mac that can run this game, likely it was quite expensive. And it's possible to get a computer better at gaming for fraction of Mac's price
no, he means iOS. phones have 8gb ram now and soon they're gonna have Threadrippers and 1080TIs. he 100% meant iOS
Yeah sorry I can't buy a gaming computer because here in Holland they are very expensive and I just got this thing :/ And I will never buy a windows or android laptop, computer or phone you know, apple fanboy :3 But I'll try to boot it so I can play because I don't have to watch to Russian car crash anymore and im a huge Beamng fan. thanks
There's one thing you could try if you don't want to install Windows... WINE. However, if you want to play on another version than 0.4.0.5, you're gonna need to get the development version of WINE. However... I'm gonna do some testing real quick...
I want to play on Windows because that's the easiest way to play Beamng on this laptop but I have never played a game on a Windows computer so I have to figure some things out. if I make a language mistake im sorry, also not that good at English.. --- Post updated --- and I don't want to download stuff and things because I also have to use this laptop for college so.... so im gonna try to boot it now
Do you know what graphics card your iMac has? Sorry to say, but Macs in general don't usually have beefy video cards since their intended purpose is usually for content creation or development. So while they usually have decent CPUs, they are often lacking in GPU power
Yep... Speaking from personal experience, (2010 MacBook Pro) your GPU will be your biggest hurdle. If it can run DirectX11, then it will run this game well enough, but that will definitely be your bottleneck. If you're an Apple fanboy, What you're really going to want to play this game and play it properly is a Mac Pro. Doesn't have to be a new one, mine is from 2010 (hey, a good deal is a good deal, apple or not). I picked up a Dual HexaCore Mac Pro with 32Gb's of ram and dual AMD Radeon HD 5770's for $900 USD. Is that overkill? perhaps... but I do a lot of computational heavy physics simulations for work, so I make use of its power every day. Again though... my bottleneck is the GPU's. Have been thinking about upgrading to a higher end graphics card which I can actually do because it's a Mac Pro.
We already know that this is going to become a spam-fest, so just stop now, before someone gets hurt. Or worse..
