Hi! Is it possible to make the BeamNG Game for Smartphones? I don't know, but it will probably very Nice.
Still no. BeamNG is all about real physics. Not just a racing game. They still aren't even done with BeamNG Drive yet. Plus it would just be a waste of time.
Pole Position <333 Phones can handle a lot these days, and it's probably true that a couple of phones could out perform some of the reeeeally outdated hardware we've seen posted around here. That being said, Android and iOS are 2 totally different cans of worms. I know that Torque3D is not even available for Android. Torque2D had a failed Kickstarter for Android, and is available for iOS. So, if anything, WAY down the line, there's the slightest of chances that we might see a 2D app for smart phone put out by BeamNG, but I wouldn't bank on it. In the mean time, they're focusing on just the alpha version for PC. When that becomes release-ready, maybe they will more seriously mull other platforms.
Firstly, the top phones out there would struggle on low settings. Secondly, there is the MASSIVE amount of work it would take to get it to work on a mobile device. They already have a ton to do on the PC version.
I may be able to play GTA 3 and Vice City on my phone, but it still takes it like crap. Considering those games are -ten- years old with a defined set of physics, and no soft-body, that's pretty good. If BeamNG can be optimised in a manner where you don't need a godly computer to run more than 5 vehicles at once, maybe. And I'm still talking PC. Any phone platform would struggle getting to the start up screen. Maybe 10 years after development is finished. Maybe less, never know.
Depends what you are defining as a smartphone, my laptop takes a sim and makes calls, and it will run beamng, so there is beamng on a smartphone.... (lul)
it would be possible but with a 8 Gb ram smart phone and a video card of minimum 1 Gb + with 2.50 GHz when tis kind of smart phone exist beamng can try to put their game on smart phone other than that nooo f**king way
read my sig. it's a quote from gabester. It applies here too, just replace "ipad" with any mobile device besides laptops ofc. It might be possible in a few years or 10 when phones and tablets go back to x86 and performance goes up
