Everything about BeamNG is 20 years ahead of its time except for the tire model and force feedback. The tire model barley delivers any detail/information about the road surface or about how the car is doing. It's also very hard to feel the right and left side of the individual tire. The current tire model isn't very resposive and a lot of force feedback detail/information is lost. I think simulating all the tires as run flats may help. From everything I can see BeamNG has aggressive, hard coded filters for the force feedback that can't be removed. It also seems like the tire is only reporting one sum to the force feedback rather than multiple points. The bushings are simulated as way to soft which also kills the force feedback data. Everything needs to be stiffer it feels like. Lots of sim racers are just waiting until BeamNG does a proper tire model and force feedback overhaul. I would also hope to see better water physics and a hyper realistic speedboat, The AI on the stock tracks could also use an overhaul. The AI doesn't take proper racing lines. There's also lots of data that is collected but not reported to the force feedback. The feedback goes up to 2000hz but I'm very positive there's a filter on the force feedback that removes everything over 100hz. I think the BeamNG devs should dedicate an entire update to just the force feedback and tire model, giving them a massive overhaul would be ideal. The tire model just kills so much force feedback data/information. We need a hypersensitive tire model that delivers more responsive and detailed feedback. Also my other issue is every car spawns with the tire pressure too low. Some cars spawn in with 28 PSI at the front when really they should have 36.
