Hello guys, I have created this thread in hopes of starting a lap time competition on the legendary Nordschleife. Most of us know that a WIP version of the track is {unofficially} available here: https://www.beamng.com/threads/nordschleife-reuploaded-need-help-to-improve-quality.35143/ So It's about time somebody started an competition xD I'll set a few rules to prevent cheating and make sure every driver is on even grounds: General rules: -Each lap time set must have a video proof provided. -You may use a rolling start (it would be preferable to include at least last corner of previous lap in the video). -Gravity settings must be default. -Both engine and brakes should be preheated, meaning: When crossing the start/finish line at the beginning of the record the lap: Coolant, Oil, Block and Cylinder wall must NOT be under 65 deg C (150 deg F), Break pads must NOT be under 100 deg C (210 deg F) for front pads, and NOT under 75 deg C (165 deg F) for rear pads. (You may use preheat option in gameplay menu and/or drive a lap (or portion of it) before starting record lap) -As proof of points above, the video should contain visible UI debug apps at all times during the lap run that can confirm it. -ABS mode must be set to "Realistic ABS only" -Default gearbox behavior must be set to "Realistic" -Clutch and throttle assistants for manual transmissions must NOT be used. -The car must NOT be damaged at the beginning of the lap (if it gets damaged during the lap it's OK). -You may use any ESP mode you wish -You may use as little or as much fuel as you wish. -You may use Nitrous (Note that adding it to stock cars that don't have it by default makes them qualify as custom cars). -You may use any game controller you like (PC Wheels, Gamepads, keyboard...) Stock official/mod car rules: -Stock refers to the official/mod car trim being as it is provided when spawned for the 1st time, meaning car must not be modified in any way except color/livery. -If available, please provide a resource link so other players can download exact same car/configuration and compete with you. -All rules above apply. Custom car rules: -Custom refers to the fact that you have modified an existing official/mod trim by: -Modifying, adding or removing parts in parts selector or any other way -Modifying, adding or removing any other tuning settings except fuel amount and car color/livery-If you made a custom car mod that has base trim(s), the base trim(s), unless modified in previously explained ways are consider stock by default. This applies to Automation mods also. -If available, please provide a resource link in video description so other players can download exact same car/configuration and compete with you. -All rules above apply. ive spent like several hours trying to get that laptime thingie to work soo i can get an accurate reading but eventually i just gave up and just recorded it aaand oh damn is the Civetta Bolide 390 GTR Group 4 is a bitch to drive fast espcially because it doesnt come with abs also gave up on getting a clean lap too soo i did 08:21 lap or so where i spun out once (i can maybe get a more accurate laptime if i throw the video in sony vegas and check the time there if you want me to) maybe i do a proper lap another time tho right now my hands are sore
Really terrible lap with 1.6L motor, pretty much anyone can do better. I had to lift up at one point as got corner wide and it might of been unfair advantage otherwise. Looks good, insane handling xD Can you put parts (mods) link in Youtube description so that others can have a neat place to look for them?
I put link to that post above, free advertising of this competition too that way That is quite crazy setup, you will loose faith usually far before car's abilities reaches limits, but you need to learn to trust it and throw it a bit, Tail of the dragon with traffic is absolutely madness with that, thing practically eats corners.
