So, i heard that some computers are going to be released with sd850 (snapdragon 850) and i was wondering how well will this chip be able to run beamng, or if it can. Since beamng is CPU intensives i don't have much hopes but id still like to know. :)

Those PCs can only run apps from the Windows Store (those runs Windows 10 S, cannot install apps outside the store)

I presume BeamNG has no plans to add support for purchase through the windows store?

It depends on the cooling solution really, the Snapdragon 850 could be in anything from a small notebook with no fan or a 15 inch computer with a fan. One is obviously going to perform better.
Also the SD850 is ARM based, so it would require some work to recompile the game into ARM.
Also because its Arm based, it is only DX10. So the game might not have some of the more fancy graphical features that Dx11 has.

Iirc the 845 is x86 and supports dx12, and the 850 is basically the same but a slightly faster clock super and being sold for Windows computers.

Yri, SDM850 is not x86 but ARM. Maybe you confused 64-bit for x86?

False, it is dx11, with partial dx12

    It's arm

Windows 10 S can only run x86 apps via emulation (included out of box). It's slow to do that, excruciatingly so

Yeah I mixed it up with OpenGL. I don't think BeamNG uses OpenGL, just direct X

    no later than 1.1.

    *edit*
i read an arstechnica article and it said that a driver update could fix this from Qualcomm. The article is dated 19th of Feb 2018 so maybe since then there has been progress.
