Hey Guys, I need some help. My english is not the best but I'll try to explain my problem as good as I can.

A few days ago I upgraded my System to an i7 9700K, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero and 16GB RAM. I am really impressed by the power of that CPU, I can play at highest settings with 10 AI Cars and my graphics card is still at 100% usage.
However, there is one problem. My CPU is overclocked to 5.0GHz and it is working fine with any Benchmark and any other game, the only exception is BeamNG.drive. As soon as I open the game, the CPU won't go above 4.2GHz. There is no thermal or power throttling or something like that. As I said, the performance is still great but the real problem is that it won't go beyond 4.2GHz even after closing the game. So when I want it to run at 5GHz again, I have to restart my PC. I really have no Idea what the reason could be because any other game or benchmark has no problems.

Does somebody here in the forum experience something similar or has an Idea how to solve the problem? I really don't like to restart the PC every time after playing BeamNG.drive. Any help is appreciated.

    Have a great day :)

i think that's the game's max it would use. Just a guess I am not the one that coded this game.

@JJscoobs Thanks for your help, it actually worked :)
After disabling this function, my CPU runs at 5GHz again. It is a bit weird that the high performance plan forces the CPU to run at 4,2GHz only, while the balanced option doesn't do that.
