    A Simple & Fast Vehicle Skin Modding Tool




    This tool is designed to make adding vehicle skins for BeamNG.drive easier and faster, especially for users who don't want to deal with manual folder setup or file naming.

    With BeamSkin Studio, you can quickly generate properly structured skin folders, files, and get skins ready to use in-game with minimal effort. It's built to streamline the workflow for both beginners and experienced modders.

    Update 0.8.0.Beta — 08/15/2026

    What's New:
    • Body Variant Support
      • You can now create skins for vehicle variants like bus, cargo, box, and ambulance.
    • Reflective Map
      • You can now add reflectivity to your skins — useful for police skins and other vehicle skins that use reflective decals.
    • Unpack Toggle
      • You can now export your mod to the unpacked folder as a plain mod folder. No need to extract your mod manually anymore.
    • Auto Add Mods
      • BeamSkin Studio can now add your mods for you and find the correct files — no more manually locating them.

    Improvements:
    • PySide6 Migration
      • BeamSkin Studio now uses the PySide6 GUI framework, which uses your GPU for UI rendering. This gives more UI freedom for development and a more stable, smoother experience for users.
    • Save and Load Projects
      • The save/load feature has been improved with a dedicated UI window where you can view and select all your saved projects.
      • Note: Older saves made before V.0.8.0.Beta need to be added manually to the load save menu.
    • Adding Config Files is Now Easier
      • Adding .pc and .jpg files has been improved — pressing Browse on either browse button will now open that vehicle's config folder directly, if it exists.

    Update 0.7.0.Beta — 10/03/2026

    What's New:
    • Colorable Skins
      • Colorable skins are now supported, allowing you to create skins that can be colorable.
    • Online Tab (currently unavailable)
      • A new online tab has been added where you can report issues, upload and download skins.
      • Will be available when a dedicated server is up and running.
    • Language Selection
      • You can now select your preferred language in the settings.
      • The download tab and changelog window has a translator button that uses GoogleTranslator to translate to your selected language.
      • More languages will be added in future updates.

    Fixes:
    • Citybus Texture Fix
      • Fixed citybus to use the newly named textures.

    Notes:
    • The Online Tab will be available when a dedicated server is set up.
      • All donated money will go towards it — targeting a Raspberry Pi 5 4GB (1300 SEK / ~$130 USD) or a used PC for similar performance.

    Mod support could be coming soon!

    skin being used on them was used for testing, the skin is for the ETK I-Series

    Upcoming update:
    • Multiple languages, u will be able to pick what language u want
    • colorable skins will be supported
