I had the exact same problem when I got my T150. I still don't know what is realistic because I have never driven, but here is a screenshot of my settings. They are good enough that I can still easily turn the wheel even when standing still, but I can also feel a reasonable amount of force feedback when I go over bumps or crash. Also, make sure to set the wheel angle to 1080 in the drivers before setting the angle to 1080 in the game. Otherwise your wheel will only have a response zone of 900 degrees. To access the drivers go to control panel/devices and printers/Thrustmaster T150/right click/game controller settings/properties. Hope this helps.
