What are some of the best and worst kit cars youve seen online or even better, irl.

Heres one of my favourites. The VW Avante, based on a Beetle. I almost bought one last year

And then theres this, the Banham X99, made to look like an Audi TT. Not so good :/

I'm really actually considering building one of these for myself.
    What is it?
A Citroën 2CV Kit Car made by Burton Car Company in the Netherlands. It has a lower center of gravity than the regular 2CV as well as a lower weight, more power (optional turbocharger available) and aftermarket exhaust which sounds amazing. The website claims top speeds up to 180 km/h (compared to the 115 km/h from the stock 80's 2CV) and a 0-100 km/h (62 mp/h) time of around 12 seconds (compared to 35 seconds stock). Like the 2CV it has a push and pull gearshift, iconic to Citroëns of that era, which makes driving it and shifting gears a lot of fun but a bit difficult if you're unfamiliar with how it works. It corners even better than the stock 2CV which makes cornering a lot of fun as well. And if you have one of the later models 2CV as a donor car, you have front disc brakes which have amazing stopping power.

You can have it as a soft-top or a hardtop with gullwing doors or both, as they are interchangeable. I took a test drive in one a few months ago, and it was a blast to drive. They also made a fully electric model dubbed the Burton Electric, but I believe that is still a one-off.

Also its design is based on Bugattis and other luxury cars from the 30's, which is a good choice if you ask me.
