I know there's no talking of beta testing yet, but I do remember seeing you saying that you will be looking for beta testers later on.. So I wanted to ask- what are the requirements? Obviously the recommended system requirements but is there anything besides that? If there is not- what are the system requirements? Great support from Israel!
If you would have actually read my post, you would understand that I know that... I was asking for assumptions of the requirements to be a tester, Wasn't asking to be a tester right now... FAQ clearly says- "Currently we aren't seeking beta testers, but that will probably change soon."
Then there's no point in asking. If you know there is no beta right now then there are no requirements either.
I would imagine a computer which meets the requirements is the first hurdle. We don't know what these are yet but I imagine a PC with a decent dual core CPU, 2GB RAM and graphics card of ATI 4770/Nvidia GTX 260 or up. Remember these are not official minimum requirements! The dev team will likely hand pick the first few testers for an early version of the game (closed beta?). These testers will have a variety of computer configurations and are probably the more mature bunch who won't post clips on YouTube and complain that the game is buggy.
It is http://www.beamng.com/faq.php?faq=beamng#faq_beta As for the system requirements, I'm sure testing it on different OSes is also important.
To be fair the OP knows straight up front BETA Testers aren't needed. He's trying to get information on what the developers will want their testers to be capable of, any past experience, etc. How ever, that's only known when it comes time to test it. Sometimes BETA Test sessions are for specific features or an overall test. Depending on the style of testing the requirements will change. So the best thing to do is to wait for them to post something about looking for testers, this will indicate what requirements they are looking for.
It is...... Can I be a beta tester? Currently we aren't seeking beta testers, but that will probably change soon. Well, others posted about the same thing just before me.... Oh well.
