GarageGames said they are planning Linux support for v4 (which was supposed to be released this summer, but I think they are still half way into v3). As for the BeamNG itself, I think it is (almost) independent. I'm kind of the same, I got dual boot with Linux and Windows, I doubt I will ever get Windows again. That^
Haha lol. In gaming you wont notice any difference between Intel and AMD. But in everything else Intel wins.
I thought you were comparing CPUs. In terms of nvidia vs AMD GPUs you can notice a difference depending on whether or not games use physx, cuda, tressfx, etc...
I have a rather interesting pc for testing : amd athlon II x4 630 (4x2.8ghz) 4 gb ddr2 ram amd radeon hd 6950 win 7 64 bit just pm me , would be interesting to know how it runs on that ultra-hyper-mega high end pc^^
Your argument is invalid. The only thing that gives an i5 4670k a run for it's money is the FX8350. That's it (not including AMD cherry-picking CPUs and OC'ing them).
Yes I meant CPUs. What I was saying is that when you use a high-end GPU, AMD CPUs tend to bottleneck the system because of the lower single-threaded performance. You can see that in reviews, in CPU demanding games AMD lacks behind quite a lot.
I'm thinking about getting an 8350 too, only thing is that in Brazil it's pretty expensive. Maybe I'll ask my aunt to bring one from U.S. as she lives there. And maybe a new GPU too.
Yeah, I'm thinking of getting a new 8870 when in comes out as well as a nzxt phantom 410 case because my antec 300 barely can fit my 7770 lol
Triple the price? No, it doesn't. In theory it should be assloads faster, when for that much of a price it doesn't.
thats only in certain things because intel is more suited for office work then it gets its advatige there but amd is more suited around gaming so theres its advantige. see where im getting at though?
I just remembered I would have to change my motherboard if I changed my CPU to AMD. I hope there are cheap Intels with a lot of cores and GHz.
Clock speed =/= performance I can overclock an FX4300 to 5.0 GHz, but an i5-3750k 3.4 GHz will still beat it.
