you know in real life when you get a flat tire on a non 4 wheel drive car, after a while the tire comes of the rim or the rim spins inside the tire, don't know what i mean, go watch some demolition derbys videos, you will see what i mean. So my suggestion is beamng should make it so when you get a flat tire on a non 4 wheel drive car, after a little bit the rim should spin inside the tire or the tire should just falls of, it would make demolition derbys more fun, when the only derby mod gets updated who agrees?
the tire would have to have a separate jbeam than the wheel. I'm not sure if beamng would support that yet but maybe....
all I want from the tires is that they don't have parts missing when you crash. also sometimes the tire will come off from the rim but it sort of just disappears.
ya, also sometimes when the tire pops for me when hitting by another car i don't get the popping sound
the tire is already seperate from the rim and it has been for a while. if it wasnt you would see the rim itself glitch out after the tire is popped (the way it was in older versions of beamng).
While that indeed would make a really cool physics feature, it's going to be extremely complex to create. First of all, it should have complex simulation based on the conditions on the wheel and how those changes. It if would just start to spin like that after a flat tyre without any other calculations, it would just spin endlessly and you're going nowhere after that. In real life, a lot of things can change the behaviour of such situation, such as are the wheels and tyres dirty from the seam, is there any possible lubricating stuff between the seam if something goes there during the process, etc, etc. And if you do it long enough, the tyre eventually starts to burn and it grabs the grip again or then the tyre will be destroyed during the process of heavy slipping. Realistic idea, but would require massive amount of work and it wouldn't be gameplay improving feature afterall.
