Yes, it worked, thank you! And I really like the brake squeal, it's another sound that adds more realism!
I wouldnt know where to start but maybe @Nadeox1 or any of the other devs could shed some light on where to start looking, or if its possible at all
Is it possible to make this work with the Look Ahead interior camera mod? I noticed that interior sounds like the parking brake or turn signal dont play when using this camera mode.
You should see a small white square with a 0 or a 1 in it, i the left of your screen. Push that so that it says 1.
In-game, there are modules which you can add to your screen, "Applications". For example, the mini-map, RPM and boost gauges, and the radial menu. If you open the menu in-game by pressing Esc, somewhere around the lower middle portion there should be a small icon that looks like a window or menu of sorts. When hovering over with your mouse it should say "Apps/Applications". Click it, then scroll down until you find one that says "Better Sounds Mod" or the likes. A small white box with the number "0" in it will then appear somewhere on your screen, and just click it so that it now says "1".
LOL sry, i forgot to mention you had to add it, mine is placed to the left on the screen. See you recieved a correct answer
I like this mod! It's mostly great. Good: The sounds, blinkers, e-brake noise, a bit of brake squeal (for a truck, it's perfect), all kinds of crash sound changes that liven up things. Sound is so forgotten, all too often. Bad/could use work: I created a giant dust cloud and no longer could see in green grass, it sounded like rocks were kicking up. There should be only this in stone (without the dust, with the sound), and dust + sound on 'Rocky Dirt / Dirt' with the sound being less loud in 'dirt' vs 'rockydirt'. It should never make the sound of rocks kicking up when I'm flying across a lawn, maybe muffling out 75% of the audio spectrum on the high end would be a better sound for grass travel from interior. On maps like my roane county TN map, for example, the rockydirt travel sound seems to kick in on the roadways, even though it looks like and has traction like asphalt, it's a bit 'sensitive' lets say, on large-scale terrains. So maybe fading in the sound over a second or two, as more dirt/rocks get kicked up into the wheel wells and against the under carriage would make this better for the user, as that's how it works in real life. I've traveled on unpaved roads before at speed, it surely makes dust, but not quite that much, and the noise should fade into full volume at about 35mph if on appropriate terrain (NOT grass ). Sorry, I don't mean to 'sound' mean (heh), but all in all this is a GREAT mod it just needs a bit of work. I've done what I could in the config files for now with turning off the dirt travel sound. --Cheers and keep up the good work!
Ive noticed that too, i assume it depends on how the roads are created, there is probably many ways to create a road but should only be one really, that way itll play when driving on the right ground material. Had another idea about brakes, which is not really neccessary but for fun. If the brake temps go to high for the brakes, that could activate a warped disc squeel noise, kind of like a chirp-chirp-chirp sound. Also, if the car is driven hard for a extended period of time, or simply just gets high engine temp (and maybe high brake temp combined) and then comes to a stop/is shut off, there could be a sound of a hot engine, you know the pinging/ticking sound. Heard in the beginning of this vid:
What sound cant you hear? Do you have any other soundmods installed? Have you added the Brake squeel app?
Thank you for your reply guys, i keep your tips but for now i am too busy to make anything, i will update the mod later
