As the title states, I feel better synchromesh simulation would be very fun (probably only as a toggleable option)
I want the need to double clutch or shift slower in old cars in order not to grind gears.

There are many videos on youtube of drivers in classic cars double clutching or doing the 1-2 method.

So what your asking for isn't better synchromesh simulation... but rather a lack of synchromesh... simulation?

That's the reason that they need to double clutch or shift real slowly in those older vehicles. It's because they were built in a time before syncros were a thing, so it was up to you to match engine and transmission speed to actually get it to shift properly.

Either that or play the game of "grind it till ya find it".

Yeah, I just meant overall better synchromesh and no synchromesh simulation. I didn't make it clear that, it was just one of the things I'd like to see. For example I'd like to see when you wear your synchros in the gearbox it becomes easier to grind.

I'd also like to see "random" mechanical failures. I know they aren't random irl, but maybe add a small chance for losing your clutch, or losing a gear. I know that isn't how it actually works, but this would be much easier than make a Beamng x Car Mechanic Simulator game haha

We already have this (in reverse gear). Just apply the same with each and every other gear.

Yeah, its pretty obvious they are going to add the ability to change this in the powertrain section in a future update along with custom values for each vehicle. I can't think of any current vehicles that will have non-synchro gearboxes apart from some T-series variants. They will need to update the shift logic for anyone not using manual clutch too.

Well, the race versions would probably use dog boxes, which don' t use a synchromesh

True true... then you get punished for shifting to slowly :p
