Yes, I know may might think this is silly. But..... 1: Is would give just that tiny amount of added life the the game's world. 2: Wild guess, but I'd imagine it would have pretty much zero aspect on how the game runs. As in many other titles where you have a "Virtual 3D World" How about adding, random birds in the sky? Given the distance, and size of a bird, we're talking very few pixels and minimal actual geometry compared to everything else. Yes, now and again a bird may fly a little closer, but many time, we'd just see them passing overhead / in the distance, or perhaps circling over a large desert canyon.
