Blender/T3D Normal/Texturing Questions

    Questions are as follows



    Normals


    • For BeamNG/Tourqe3D Implementation do you normal map it to a mesh in blender and than move the normal mapped mesh into BeamNG or do you use the lowest poly mesh and add the normal map as a texture [the way I'd assume is the 2nd]
    • What is the process for doing the normals, what tools are good in blender for making the high quality one have words or details, how does one add detail for a bolt or detail in blender that will result good in-game?
    • when I normal map attempt inside blender, I can never get the normal to "Map" per say, to the mesh. [I do use duplicated meshes pre-UVed]




    UVs and Textures


    • What is the most effective method for UVs that works with Tourqe3D without issue, what is the best meathod for exporting the UV setup to a texture from blender?
    • What is the best way to get the textures applied to the car?
    • How do you make textures work when car is inside .zip, doesn't seem to ever work for me? 9 times out of 10 it breaks them all.
    • Why is there no guide for these things in detail about how to apply these things to BeamNG, you can go on the internet and find out how to normal map, but than you don't know what to do with it to make it work.

    I am such a pain, but at the rate of this, I'm gonna learn this by next year, I suck at learning complex things from text alone, images help breach the gap between pure text and actual understanding, I get most of the stuff, but it is hard to get any real Idea for anything really when the wiki is all text and all normal map explanation is exclusively text. :(
