hey I played around with the engines rpm and torque, and made a wheelie with the box van. I know its easy for the most of you guys, to do it youreself, but would still like to share it with you. here is a link: http://youtu.be/GUZRpZDfHfs If you want to know the torque and rpm then its here: "enginetorque":[ ["rpm", "torque"] [0, 0], [4000, 1400], [5000, 1500], [6000, 1700], [8000, 2900], [10000, 3400], [12000, 3700], [15000, 3800], ], "engine":{ "idleRPM":3500, "shiftDownRPM":2800, "shiftUpRPM":15000, "maxRPM":16000, "inertia":0.16, "friction":24, "brakingCoefRPS":0.15 "burnEfficiency":0.45 "throttleSensitivity":1.1 and i set the rear heavy wheels to overkill: {"frictionCoef":41.25}
That's great I wonder f you could go the other way with that ... turn the grip and braking way up. Slam on the brakes and see what happens
It would be cool if this was an engine you could select insted of editing the files. Just an idea. P.S. That is awesome
You can actually just make a addon engine/second engine section in the .Jbeam engine file then you can select between engines using the parts config CTRL-W.
I had a lot of fun with this myself and my "insane" engine config last night. I made a set of "supergrip" tyres with friction coef of 50 (!) each. Then the motor has approximately 10000 hp at the top of its peak. I would be able to hit about 406 mph before reading the "end" of the flat empty grid level. I imagine if I backed up I may have been able to go faster still. In order to get that sort of speed with the default gearbox (I don't know what file it is to change it) I had to essentially make a F-1 motor x10, with a top of 20000 RPM. Also, your tyres explode if they spin faster than 500mph.
With my config above i get around 7000hp and 505 kmh before the Van Gets destroyed. But you Can fine keep it around 470-495. Looks awesome when driving in a Wall with 450 kmh.
