Imagine you're driving a good ol' semi truck carrying a little bit too much weight down a mountain road thats a bit too steep, so your using your brakes a little more than you probably should. You're going down the mountain and you notice that your brakes are becoming a little bit less responsive, but assure yourself it's nothing to worry about. Soon after you begin repenting for your sins as you unstoppably head for a hairpin turn at 106 MPH. Anyway, I was thinking there should be some sort of system that keeps track of brake temperature and when brakes begin getting very hot they become less and less responsive until the brakes fail and won't work until they cool down a bit. Getting the brakes very hot could also potentially cause damage to them, making them much less efficient, overheat easier, or even have completely failed and will not work without repair.
These technical failures would make the game so much cooler. I definitely like the idea! Also, some cars should be less reliable than others. Since the Ibishu Pigeon is the "free car," it should be more likely to have technical issues than other cars.
It is cool, definitely, but, if this were to come into the game, I would like it optional, because I love doing crazy things with the brakes, and it would seem weird to have this update randomly, which would somewhat affect the game play.
I'm glad to see that you have bumped a 4 year old thread, however this may have been a smarter bump as it is relevant to revive the suggestion with more ideas. Seems you may have been competent enough to not make a new thread for something already around. I'd say they would just have different states of simulation with a Arcade[Deactivated] Moderate RealLife Options setup.
Heh, sorry. I bought BeamNG.drive recently and joined the community, and on forums, I didn't know how to see when they were posted. I do now, though.
That would be really cool for this sort of simulation game. But it should definitely be able to be turned on and off at will
