Hello everyone, this is a mod I've spent the best part of a week trying to make and I think it's finally at a standard where I can release it on the forums! Introducing the Bruckell LeHawk! In the late 1970s Bruckell were in trouble: the company most famous for big American muscle cars realised, as fuel prices started to shoot up, that they didn't really know how to make anything else! Their most popular car, the Moonhawk, was dying on it's feet and the I6 models were the only one still crawling off the forecourts. That was when somebody had a great idea: how about they stuff the engine and transmission from their soon-to-be-released FWD sedan, the LeGran, into the body of the Moonhawk? Since no-one told him no, he went ahead and did it! The result was this, the Bruckell LeHawk! So yeah, it's pretty early Beta, the engine is still invisible and the transmission is a bit funky. I hope my custom configs worked, if not then tell me and I'll try and fix it but if they're broken for now you can just remove the rear diff and add in an engine to make it drive properly. Also I hope you only have to put it in the mods folder but with my skills who knows Things to do: make engine visible fix vehicle name and config names (it would be a great help if someone told me how to do this) DONE Credits: the BeamNG team for the original two vehicles @AdamB for his words of encouragement @Nadeox1 for helping me find the files *facepalm* me (@AnOrangeHellcat ) for all the fiddley bits and lots of swearing PLEASE DO NOT REUPLOAD ONTO ANY OTHER SITE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION (what's the point somebody's gonna do it anyway smh) ALSO this is a separate vehicle but it has the same name because idk how to change it (for me it's next to the LeGran in the vehicle selector) and the config names are the same but if all has worked it should have engines etc corresponding to the speed of the stock configs. And if someone could tell me soon whether or not the configs are working that would be a great help BTW here's a quick picture if anyone wanted one, not much to see apart from the half-invisible Moonhawk transmission
hey there's no visual changes to the car and I can't get the engine to show so I thought there was no point including pictures. what do you want a picture of? a stock looking moonhawk? a half invisible engine? and before anyone says "then don't upload it" I uploaded it so people could test some bugs and help me improve
Perfect timing on working on this I'm right now working on a Challenger Demon (Based off a WideBody Moonhawk, but i'll do some changes in blender to make it look Demon-ish. 1% Progress made
Right everyone, update, ive been told by a friend of mine that the configs were working so all ive done this update is rename them and their descriptions and changed the name in the vehicle selector to LeHawk, now all I have to do is figure out the invisible engine problem
crap i now realized this mod has a custom engine well crap shouldve read instead before posting a rubbish comment
Hey Hellcat, so we now have a FWD Moonhawk, named the “LeHawk”. Awesome! Definitely one of if not the first mod I download for Beam, when I get a windows computer as I play games on an Apple Mac currently...
Offtopic: *Guy gets out of shower* I need a towel.. wait none left.. WAIT! There's one! *Cat screams*
I am extremely confused what this mod is, because I assumed it was a FWD Moonhawk... but its actually a legran? Because when I spawn it isn't a Moonhawk at all. I then got curious and opened the "Moonhawk" .DAE and this is what shows XD. Am I missing something entirely?
To make the engine not invisible get the legran.dae and keep just the engine, make sure its the same names in the meshes and in the jbeam and it should be visible.
that's strange, for me (and I assume for everyone else) it is a fwd moonhawk, maybe I broke something idk --- Post updated --- I reattached the file, I may have screwed it up while trying to fix the engine
I've pretty much given up on this mod no-one really cares about it and I keep breaking it every time I try and fix it so I think I fixed the textures idk
