The 1976-1978 Bruckell Moonhawk base model, perennially seen on lists of the worst American cars, is finally part of Passengerpigeon's car collection. This self-proclaimed muscle car, powered by the 2.2-litre "Iron Dinosaur" four-cylinder engine later used in the LeGran, will test your driving skills as you unleash a tyre-shredding 92 horsepower. Being overtaken by Pigeons (both the truck and the bird) has never been so glamorous. This mod is intended to be the BeamNG.Drive equivalent of the real-life Iron Duke Camaro and will also feature a rusty Beater skin with a worn-out and dirty interior in the future. Version: 0.2 Alpha Implemented: - LeGran I4 engine with model and textures - Beater V8 engine - Blown V8 engine - Manual and automatic transmissions tuned for the I4 engine - 3.42 Open Rear Differential - Custom presets using the new parts Partially implemented: - Fixed engine model (hoses/exhausts etc. that line up with Moonhawk components) - Beater/project car configurations Priority: - Plastic front and rear bumpers for the base model - Custom skin for Beater - Worn-out interior Possible: - Broken exhaust with accompanying engine variant that makes an unmuffled sound - Weakened body and components similar to the rusty Oldsmobile variant Credits: Passengerpigeon (mod author) Gabester (LeGran and Moonhawk-derived files) Chevrolet (gear and differential ratios) Taza (bug fix and lots of help on the forum) Known bugs: - BeamNG won't recognise the description file for the I4 Automatic preset (I have no idea why, it's in the same format as the manual one which works). The performance data for the I4 Automatic is 0-60 in 20.2 seconds and a top speed of 86 miles per hour. Version 0.2 has been released, featuring a beater and project car configuration with accompanying faulty engine variants. These cars will receive custom skins in the future.
Just an update: This project is officially on hold as I have lost interest in automobiles... for the moment. My fascinations run in a cycle and when I regain interest in BeamNG.Drive, at some point in the future, I will continue work on this mod. Thankyou, Passengerpigeon.
