Builderz is a freeroam extension mod that adds fun and entertaining features to BeamNG.Drive that allow a player to raise (construct) buildings. To do this, players will deliver building materials to the construction sites using trucks and trailers capable of carrying the required materials. Currently in Beta. Mod link: https://www.beamng.com/resources/builderz.34743/ Each construction site will have a list of required materials (matz) that the player will need to have loaded onto their vehicle at the matz spawn locations. The matz will each have a list of valid vehicles and/or trailers that can be used. Each site will require multiple deliveries of the different matz until the site is fully raised. The construction process is depicted using animation to represent the gradual phases of construction until all matz have been delivered. Once a site is completed the entire building is displayed. All sites, whether partially or fully complete, remain on the players map to be enjoyed, as long as the mod is active. The process to construct a site starts with the player first finding the unbuilt site and claiming it. Each site will have a list of required construction materials (aka materialz, matz) and their quantities. For each matz there will be one or more spawning locations where the player will need to load from. Each matz spawning location will indicate what vehicles are acceptable to use for loading the matz onto. Players can have several construction sites in progress at the same time and could make deliveries across multiple sites with one trailer load, delivering matz to each site on their route. Some matz require "raw" matz to first be delivered to a supplier site who would process the raw matz into available finished matz. Inventories are tracked and displayed for each supplier. Builderz has an open-world exploratory mindset in that you need to locate the sites, spawnz, and raw matz locations. A small direction arrow can be displayed to help in locating the sites. The requirements for each site as well as what raw matz are needed will be indicated. Players are free to choose what actions they want to do and in what order. These are not missions with a strict order or time limit. The simple concept of Builderz belies its depth in abilities. Builderz implements a unique and custom messaging display system (dialogz) to give the player feedback and provide all the information they need to know about the Builderz process. Builderz will automatically detect if the current map the player is using is supported or not. If the current map is not supported then the Builderz mod is silent and will be non-impactful with no over-head to the current gaming session. Aside from the time when a player is hauling matz, the mods impact to gaming performance is negligible. During the time when carrying a lot of matz, for example on a large trailer, there can be some performance (frame rate) impact depending on players computer specs. Additional building sites can easily be added to a map, as well as support for other maps, through additional json configuration files; no coding needed to add new sites/maps. Beta version is released with five houses to construct on the East Coast USA map. The list of available matz is anticipated to grow as well. Features List Claim construction sites by visiting them and starting the construction process at that site. Construct building sites by delivering various matz to each site, thereby raising the building until complete. Deliver raw matz to supplier sites for processing to make other matz available for construction sites. Growing list of trucks and trailers to use. Unique and interactive messaging dialogz and display panels that provide information and feedback to the player. Animated loading of matz is controlled by the automated "dropping" of cargo onto truck & trailer beds. Support for players to add their own vehicles for matz deliveries using dedicated user json files. Animated construction visuals; initially, a site fencing that raises and lowers. New code, (Lua) files, can be added for drop in new animation effects and site construction design. Freeroam map mod; new sites and map support can be added with the release of additional json configuration files - no coding changes needed. A prompt will appear asking to claim it. Click YES and you should received a confirmation message as well as seeing a fence around the site animate up from the ground. Single Click to Show Indicator Arrow To assist in locating any site, a small orange indicator can be displayed by single clicking (acts as a on/off toggle) on the site in the list of Propertiez, Spawnz, or Supplierz. A little orange pointer will appear over you vehicle.
Hi ... if you single click on the Forest Logging Pit in list of spawn sites, an orange arrow indicator will appear over your vehicle. It can help to navigate to the site. You'll then need to take the logs to the Sawmill Logz location to make the woodz available. Please let me know how your getting along with that.
Sadly, the mod seems to crash the game. either that or the rotary swap mod for the new miramar which i installed
Can you provide any more details. Are you seeing any red error messages? The mod runs cleanly on multiple computers I've tested. Can you disable the rotary mod to confirm. You can also use the tilde (`) key to display the console when that happens to see if any red error messages are show.
My bad, I just had to load the game without the mod enabled and then load it with the mod enabled. I'm so sorry! Before I did so, when i tried loading the east coast it just didn't, the game crashed with the 0x000001 code or whatever it was
Nice mod! Had a similar idea for construction but i'm too inconsistent with modding) Btw, the blue unloading area at sawmill logs seems to be invisible, can't park at the right place to unload the logs
