The other day I was playing and my van started to slowly go downhill, and I noticed that it was sort of bumping a little bit as if the road had tiny potholes on it. I decided to take a closer look and yes, the tires make weird little bumps when slowly rotating

That is how the wheels works in the game. They are approximation of a circle shape.
Enable the 'Skeleton' view (CTRL+B - Advanced Features must be on in Options > User Interface) to view in detail the physical side.

    This is a wheel:

They are cylinders, with around 16 sides.
At very low speeds, you will feel the the sides of the cylinder. The effect disappears quickly at slightly higher speeds.

Why not more sides? Why +-16 sides?
Performance balance. The more sides, the double/triple the amount of node and beams per wheel, the more CPU performance required.

I think it's a good thing when I knew how the wheel collisions worked, yet never knew you could see the bumping.
