That a less muffeled exhaust will overpower a muffled one is self explanatory, but it makes no sense to me why the cabin noise of the car is dependant on the picked exhaust only.

If i drive a 470 hp N/A V8 ETK-K with a ttsport exhaust and another car with a race exhaust is within ~150m reach then i cant hear my own engine in the cabin, even on full load, also not then when the interior is stripped to the bare minimum. Rather then that i only hear the engine of that distant car.

Here is a example of a ETK-800 270hp N/A i6, with a stripped interior and the custom exhaust (ttsport makes no difference). The more powerfull passing cars all have race exhausts. My car is ment to be a sorta replica of the Billstein NLS car driven by those youtube sim racers.

In the rl video, you can hear that those GT3 cars pass the bmw, but the cabin noises are much more present.

To give another example of a BMW, that got a full interior with a sporty engine and exhaust

Im not a mechanic or engineer to tell what exactly influences cabin noises, but yet, to me it feels like that the game makes the cabin noises entirely dependant on the chosen exhaust type and not so much on the installed engine or the cabin parts itself.

And for me who races based on gear index and rpm, i start making errors because i simply dont hear what my car is doing.

Now this may be a bug, maybe just not covered yet or intentional, i dont know.. but i felt like opening a thread about this.
