A big map for a long cruise. Port from this AC Mod converted to BeamNG.drive so I can visit my Happy Place in VR. Extensive rework with a lot of fixing Errors. Features: - Pump to Pump Race - 22km Stretch of Highway one (32km Road Network) - Streetlights turn on after Sunset - Spawn points named after the IRL Locations - AI Roads added - Fuel Stations work in Single Player - Furniture Vehicles have Glowmat - All signs and lines are emissive - (crudly) Animated Waves - custom Wave Sounds - PBR where it counts Warnings: - Due to the Size (not download but Map Size) low spec PC's can struggle. Download via Google Drive (572,8 MB) I provide my work free of charge. But I will not allow it to be hosted on paid Membership Servers. Also do not re host my Maps or conversions on other sites.
Try to clear caches on Reboot. I have had the map running for over a Month on my Server with no issues reported
A map like this is so long-awaited in the BeamNG community! Just make sure the original author doesn't catch wind of it, or else you'll be called swear words that you didn't even know existed.
Downloading this before that inevitably happens. --- Post updated --- Appreciate true modders like the guy above. Comes right out and uploads a finished mod. No false hype. Admittedly there a few shortcomings. The anisotropic filtering on the terrain and cars produces a bit of a nasty looking shimmering effect. But at the end of the day, at least it's uploaded and can at least be worked on unlike many other unfinished projects on here.
You should have seen it before I had to remove the Shadows on the Terrain, because it went Moiree like crazy. I used my own Textures mostly, to get the Terrain look at least natural
It's more of a glitch with the CK Dynamic Skybox mod, otherwise it's fine. I had to disable the waves(pch_waves.dae) in the world editor because they looked a bit too hectic and cartoony while increasing the visible distance in theLevelInfo. With those tweaked and Shirakaba or any of the partly cloudy presets enabled in Dynamic Skybox, it looks and feels much more like Assetto Corsa. Besides that the only issues are that the LOD on the cars look a bit nasty from afar when viewed in replays with the cinematic or free camera. The shimmering effect is less noticeable with Skybox disabled or depending on which angle or time of day is used. I'm grateful that the map is even here, so these are just minor gripes.
I never used or tested with CK Skybox to be fair. LOD is a performance thing, since the Map is quite big, I opted to lower the render distance for the common people in the End All the Maps I make are with mid-tier Computers in mind, because else I get yelled at from the i5 Crowd. Also the Waves took me 10 hours lol. Since there are some going up and down and back and forth I had to compromise on the speed for the Waves
