Can´t Stop updating the mods --> error

Hey Forum,

I´m playing BeamNG for a couple of time and with some mods.

Around 1 week ago I accidently hit the button "update all mods" and since there it try to update and never ends.

Everytime I start the game, the update start. Even for some mods I have already uninstalled or deleted a couple of time ago.



After it "finish", I get a error message:


I already try to let it load.
I try to "unsubscripe" the mods
I deleted never finishing mods from the mod folder
Can´t find a option where I can stop the updates.

Already get another error since them. Sometimes when I exit the game only a few minutes after I start it, the last screen of the main menu keeps staying on screen in foreground. Can´t use the task manager then or everything else, because I can´t reach it. It always is in the background. Cause it is since the updateproblem, I think its both conected.

I hope my english is understandable. I´m no native speaker. Sorry for mistakes.

4. In mods/repo are only two mods, the others are in the main folder /mods
   But even if I remove, it try to download
5. Can´t delete while it update
6. Thats the last way, but I hope I must no. Game itself runs fine. Last way cause my conecction is slow and it will take some while

Yeah, Malwarebytes can be a issue. After last database update it move the beamNG .exe files to the container. Maybe it disallow the install. Will try it out next two days after work.

 

Thanks. It haven´t stop the updates, but after I deactivate Malwarebytes and avast (don´t know which of the it was) the Mods are sucessfully downloaded. Now it´s fine again.

 

In general you are right. It is possible to run Malwarebytes next to avast. It make some trouble in sept of 2018, when a main update of avast comes out. Problems are solved since december in working together . But I use my laptop on many diffrent (some open) W-LAN and avast have a very nice W-LAN scanner and a useful software firewall. Malware don´t have these things.

But in general I totaly agree with you. But sometimes it is nice to a grown man to be a little bit weird, even is it only on the virus scanner.
