So, sit down, I have a story fo' y'all: today, I thought it'd be cool to have a racing kart in Beam. Something like this: So I look on a few websites and in a few brothels and find nothing but sadness. I decide to take it into my own hands and make one. (How hard can it be?) Sadly I had no idea how. Then I remembered the Pigeon XL and wondered if there was an easy way to scale jbeams. I found the nodebeam editor I used to downscale the purest essence of handling in the game, the Civetta Bolide. I scaled everything I could find in the vehicle folder down to 1/8 scale and this atrocity spawned: Which then caught on fire.... Humorous? Certainly. Nevertheless, humor was not my intent. So, my question is: How do I get the wheels smaller and attached to the suspension? Did I miss something in the suspension jbeam? Do I have to make my own? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
@Superchu Frostbite You need to make your own suspension since you changed the nodes geometry. Plus, Go karts dont have springs/dampers. The chassis' flex does all the job without falling apart or failing on a corner. I made a gokart a while ago and It was definitely hard to jbeam especially when you have a dense jbeam with a light weight body. It's great that you're trying to be creative but, unfortunately, you've gone in the wrong direction. Try something more simple and easy as your first mod like modifying the covet for example. Keep it up and lemme know if you need any help in that regard.
I do appreciate your suggestion, and will follow your advice. However, in my research of kart frames, I did find several with actual suspension (Springs and magic included.) Still, I like the idea of a tiny Bolide, perpetually on fire. The scale model from hell, If you will. I think I will peruse this avenue further. I love your work on those karts by the way, were they ever released?
