    Hi.

I'm going to buy a new laptop very soon, but I haven't got the highest budget since I have to buy a laptop (I travel around a lot.)

First of all, I wanna state that my budget is MAX 821 dollars, so feel free to post some laptops in that price if you got any better (I live in Denmark, so they either need to be from there or be able to be shipped there.)

Oh well, here's the specs of the laptop I found:

    [h=1]Lenovo Z50 15.6[/h]
    • Intel i5 Dual Core / 1.6 GHz (I know 1.6 ghz is low:/)
    • Nvidia GT 840M with 4 GB dedicated RAM
    • 8 GB RAM / 1 TB harddisk + 8 GB cache

the laptop that you listed seems pretty good, (for a laptop) the processor should be fine. I can have 25 fps with my specs. (look at my crappy Graphics) I think BeamNG is a more GPU intensive game.

So I think you'll be fine with that laptop that you posted.

*CPU not GPU intensive* That seems pretty good too, I have a crappy AMD A4 and with OC, I can easily average over 20 fps, so it is at least playable. only my lighting is on lowest and postfx is off, everything else, AA, Aniso, texture, mesh, vsync, max res, all on high. obviously PC is best, but laptop users (like me) need their laptops. Im just waiting for someone to chime in with the "yew shud get a PC breh!" best of luck!

The turbo frequency would be more useful than the base frequency. What's the processor model #? (i5 4XXXU/M)?

Dunno what the above 2 are on about. Laggy game on a 1.8ghz i3 with HD4000 (which isnt much less powerful than the 840M which is only a multimedia card not gaming).
The game is very CPU intensive.

Sorry if I'm asking stupid, but will that mean my laptop got 2.6 GHz, instead of 1.6?

Nope, my mistake, still not a great card. With turbo boost it should beat out my little laptop no problem. Certainly not going to be maxing the game though.

When running normally it has 1.6ghz but under load it can overclock itself upto 2.6ghz.

Very simply, your GPU is a pile of rubbish. Your CPU can cope with the physics, GPU cant cope with any decent graphics settings.

I'm sure it'll be playable. If you can, build yourself a desktop or at least get a better laptop.

my old g74sx ran beamng pretty good...

    2630qm
    560m

On minimal settings (gpu was kinda limiting it) i was getting 40-55fps.

560m i guess is similar to the 840m. or 830m idk i alway guess buy each new series it just compares to the lower end model.. ie 560 650 740 830 blahh
