Can you allocate more ram to beamng?

Title says it all.

 

Pretty sure you can't. Beam has the ability to use up all your RAM so I'm not sure why you'd want this.

Unless you're talking about video RAM?

 

BeamNG uses as much RAM as it needs. You can't give it anymore than is available.

 

Ok thanks. I thought it was like some other games like minecraft which have a limitation on the amount of ram it uses.

So could you allocated more video ram? Is that even possible? I thought video cards just distributed all their ram among the programs using them.

 

This is due to java not actually Minecraft specifically. All apps/games created in java have a set limit on the ram thats allocated to that app, and usually can be adjusted. Some other programs do this also (photoshop for instance) but most games do not
