Can't install mods, Beamng is not in documents...

Had to reinstall beamng because my computer needed to be reset. After I installed it there wasn't a BeamNG.Drive folder in the documents, do i need to play for a certain amount of time or what? I tried copying over the BeamNG folder in the OneDrive documents but it just sent me back to the folder in onedrive. And obviously that one doesn't work.

 

Just recreate the beamng folder, and recreate the mods folder.

 

How? I don't know how to do that without it just sending me to onedrive again...

 

For the folder to show up, you need to start the game at least once.

As for getting the files out of OneDrive, I'm not familiar with how OneDrive works, so someone else is going to have to help you with that

 

Go to on XP/Vista: C:\Documents and Settings\<Your Username>\My Documents\ then create a folder named 'BeamNG.drive'
7 and above, replace Documents and Settings with Users and it's just Documents

 

I already started it though... Do I need to use the steam version and go onto a map?
I use the 64 bit shortcut.

 

Try launching it from the launcher actually... it should automatically create the folders...

 

Open game normally through steam.
Load gridmap.
Done.
If it's still not there, right click on your documents, new folder, name it BeamNG. Repeat inside the BeamNG folder but name it mods.

 

I just did that.
When I tried opening something called "procedural" and the mods folder, it said that user\Documents\BeamNG.Drive does not exist.

 

Did it generate the folder?

 

No It didn't. I'm gonna try moving BeamNG from OneDrive Documents to Normal Documents again.

 

Try disabling OneDrive for a minute.

 

Okay. I know what happened. OneDrive was for some reason my default save location, I had to change it. It should be good now.

I'm uninsttaling onedrive. It didn't work.

Uninstalled it. It works now.
