Can't no longer edit engine files

As a person that's obsessed with power, I find the power of the car's engine quite slow.
I tried editing the game files like this video
before 0.31 came out, everything was working fine.

now when I edit one of the files, the car no longer works. as it spawns the car without its engine and the engine is no longer available in the parts selector. or even worse crashes the game. usually, the car just bugs out and makes it undrivable.
I don't know if it's because of the update, or the fact that I'm running on windows 11 and not windows 10 (I used to edit the files while using win 10)
please try helping me as I really want to drive the Scintilla at 12.000 rpm without blowing its engine.

 

I think they might have added anti-tamper protections for the game files. Why they added it, we'll have to ask the developers.

 

1. Tutorial bad, don’t change the vanilla files, instead copy them to userfolder/mods/unpacked/modname/vehicles/ and then edit those copies (press Ctrl+L in the game after making the folder path if your game is already open)
2. It’s probably a syntax error
