Can't Open DDS Files to Make Skins

    Hello, I'm trying to experiment with making skins and stuff, however when i try to open certain dds files paint.net just gives me an error. Does anyone know a fix or what programs work as of right now? Paint.net seems to not work very well to open dds files.

    it's a bc7 compressed file. there's a paint.net extension available iirc
