Can't play in VR

I would like to experience BeamNG.drive in VR. I learnt that it requires Vulkan to run but when i try to run it, I get a warning saying No suitable vulkan device found and then a STATUS_HEAP_CORRUPTION error.

My laptop is pretty old, its a Dell Precision M6800 with these specs

Intel Core i7-4800MQ
16GB DDR3
NVIDIA Quadro K3100M

In GPU-Z, my driver supports Vulkan but it still shows that error.

BTW BeamNG version is latest, 0.34.2

also i cant upgrade this PC yet, cant afford to upgrade.

Vulkan Version is 1.1.97

I'd be extremely grateful for any fixes I've been dying to experience it in VR

 

Your NVIDIA Quadro K3100M is really old. It does support Vulkan but apparently not enough to start BeamNG on Vulkan (it supports the 1.1 version so I guess BeamNG needs an higher version).
But let's assume Vulkan does work with your graphics card, VR will crash it. VR is really, really performance heavy. You can save money to buy you a gaming PC, you may have a chance to play VR.
If you want to keep your PC, you can try TrackIR, it isn't performance heavy at all.

 

Hey, I want a new PC, but unfortunately, since I'm quite young i dont have the money to afford one. My parents also cant afford a new gaming PC due to the complications we're having right now. If there are any other ways, please tell me, since I've always wanted to play in VR. Thank you.
