Can't start BeamNG: Error Reading PNG File/IDAT: CRC Error

    I just built a new PC. It is currently running Windows 10. In order to start the game, I had to update DirectX. Now, when I try and run the game, it shows up as a blank black screen and gives me the following pop-up:

    Error Reading PNG File
    IDAT: CRC Error

    If I press "OK" or close the box, it closes the BeamNG window. However, BeamNG remains running in the task manager. I am not sure what the problem is, and I didn't see any posts about this error since 2013. Any help?
