can't start the techdemo

    I installed the techdemo on a Win8 laptop, and just as expected I couldn't start it, it says the program can't start because X3DAudio1_7.dll is missing. So then I tried to reinstall the directX as it's said in the FAQ, but at the end of the instalation I got an error. Did anybody have the same problem? Is there any other way to make it run? thanks.
