Inspired by @Duster02's thread car facelifts that worked perfectly (https://www.beamng.com/threads/car-facelifts-that-worked-perfectly.52955/), this is the opposite. Post some facelifts or new generation of a car which, in your opinion, made the car look less good than before. 2000 Ford Focus 2002 Ford Focus or 2005-2011 Honda Civic 2011-2017 Honda Civic
So did the C1. Personally, I didn't like the generation change between this car: Not such an big fan of the screaming face.
Ford Mustang. Mark 1. The car that defined the muscle car. Mark 2 on the other hand... Looks like an Austin flagship saloon, and didn't have a V8. (No offence, Austin fans.)
I was contemplating making a thread like this, but I never got around to it. Here's some of my thoughts, all relating to Dodges. Facelift wise, I feel like the 1972 - 1974 Dodge Challenger doesn't look as good as the 1970 and 1971 models. I don't think it's the worst thing, but I think the two previous designs were better. For generations, in the mid to late 70's, Dodge screwed over the Challenger and Charger. I mean, are these the cars you think of when you think of those two names? As standalone Dodges with different names, I think they probably would've been okay, but as a Charger and Challenger, it's kind of embarrassing for Dodge to turn the two muscle cars into a luxury land yacht and a rebadged Japanese import respectively. IMO, the Brazilian Charger was more of a Charger than the Cordoba based one was, and the Brazilian one is based on the Dart.
1955-57 Ford Thunderbird to the 1958-60 Ford Thunderbird Now it didn't ruin the Thunderbird name it just step away from being Ford's Corvette.
There was a V8 Mustang II, just not the '74. And it wasn't a bad car, just a change of the target market. --- Post updated --- The hell? The Trueno was as much "succeeded" by that as the Scirocco was "succeeded" by the Golf - it was just a Corolla spinoff.
Technically, the Cultus Esteem/Esteem/Baleno was the next-gen Cultus/Swift, it's that Suzuki kept the old one.
Japanese cartoon overdose? This is 1983-1987 sedan Corolla (E80). This is 1987-1992 sedan Corolla (E90). How is the former one better?
the eclipse g1 1989-1994 a nice sports car with good looks and performance and the 4g63t is a monster of a 4 cylinder especially when combined with AWD g2 1995-1999 it looks like a blob and is usually riced but still can be tuned pretty well since it also has the 4g63t and AWD g3 2000-2005 it got heavier, lost power and AWD 4g 2006-2011 it was a blob and wighed over 3,000 lbs now it is a crossover wtf mitsubishi
I know about the E80, I was just saying that they never made a direct replacement for the AE86 and only made the sedan for the next generation.
