I had this thought about how buying cars would work in the career mode when it comes out (as I believe that was sorta mentioned in one of the early alpha trailers) and the idea goes like this: Suppose you have this moonhawk that you fixed enough to use a couple times and finally earned enough cash to buy/fix a better car, and you don't want to keep your moonhawk for some reason. You just go to the car dealership and put it up for sale! As a recent update post mention, the mod repository will soon be in game as of this posting, so we know it is possible to have a persistently updating datalist of sorts. This is good, because the car market would (with the exemption of enitial release) be entirely comprised of player uploaded cars! You would select that you would like to sell it, either as scrap or as a fully (for what it's worth) functioning car, set a price, and away you go. The car would keep any damage it had when put up for sale and list specs, like drivetrain type, damage percent, and other details, and we know you can save this kind of data in game (via the "save" and "load" options in the radial menu). You could then drive or scrap it. There would of course have to be some preloaded or randomly generated cars, as i said, on the market for before anyone has uploaded any and if they are all bought out ( because it wouldn't make sense for 4 people to be able to buy the same used car! ) so it would almost be like an economy. You could even try make a living flipping cars! Also, not nessesary, but there could be an option to have it as "buy it now" or have a bidding system, but that could get pretty complex. This idea is just, well, just an idea, so feel free to suggest changes or tell me what you think!
im pretty sure this is gonna happen because in garage mode, the price of cars and parts show up in gray letters.
