Career Mode Trailer Issues

I've been playing career mode for a while now and have recently been using the T-Series a lot. My problem began when I realized that I could get a 20ft transport trailer and put 8 XL boxes in the container box while simultaneously hauling a trailer with the slide out 5th wheel.

Whenever I connected my truck to the trailer it would freeze the game and state that there was in instability with either the truck or trailer.

At first this was limited to the 20ft transport that I bought, I had hauled other trailers before (delivery and personal), and now I cannot haul anything at all without this happening. There are times where the game doesn't preemptively pause, then my truck violently explodes. Other times the engine just breaks.

I play career mode with no mods activated and even uninstalling all my mods did not work. I have not attempted a reinstall yet.

I have tried clearing cache and verifying game files and the problem still persists. I cannot replicate this in safe mode as my career profile does not carry over. This problem does not occur in freemode with or without AI traffic.

I understand that career mode is a work in progress, but this is really messing up my BeamNG experience and I would like to fix it if possible.

 

Old thread I know, but I am experiencing this same thing! I had previously towed just fine, but now big trailers break the game every time. Did you figure anything out?

 

I was having a lot of fun with the Career Mode and ground the delivery progression until I unlocked fifth-wheel trailer delivery, just to get this exact issue. All the fifth-wheel trailers cause the truck to violently explode upon attaching and the simulation to stop from instability. All the trailers spawn facing the wrong way too, but nothing ramming them slightly out of the way can't fix

 

Clearing cache and verifying game file integrity didn't find anything, but after deleting everything in steamapps/common/BeamNG and everything in AppData, and redownloading the game, everything works again. I also deleted whatever save data steam keeps in the cloud. I'm thinking something got messed up after enabling old mods, even though I deactivated all of them

 

Experiencing this issue now. I was using the 5th wheel on my MD7 no problem, then all of a sudden this glitch occurred and is here to stay? I don’t want to delete all my saved data which seems to work for some people as I’ve been working on this save for a while. Any tips or fixes? Thanks!

 

For me it seems to happen when my truck gets to a point where it's highly modified, and then getting a new truck works for awhile and the process repeats. I haven't tried since the new update and I do have a bunch of mods so your mileage may vary.

I've been having the same issues as reported above; when I connect a T-series to a trailer in career (either an owned trailer or a trailer delivery) it will give instability errors, explode the truck, transport both the truck and trailer to the garage, and pause the game. Note that when I buy a truck at first I can deliver trailers or deliver cargo with my own trailer no problem. But eventually it will cause this error and once it does happen with a particular truck, it always happens with that truck. So I sell the truck and buy a new one and then it's fine until it happens again.

At first I thought it was the RLS career mod but last week I started a new career file in vanilla and eventually experienced the same issue.

I did all the support tools suggestions - clean cache, hash files, disable mods, etc. No change.

A couple of days ago I did a complete uninstall and fresh install with no mods. Started a vanilla career and eventually experienced the same issue.

Note the support file will include RLS mods and a couple of map mods. I installed RLS yesterday thinking I would try again and then I saw this post.
