Cars Randomly Break (Clean Install No Mods)

I have a fully Vanilla install of BeamNG Drive (aside from BeamMP) and started having issues with Vanilla cars just breaking for no reason. The error code that comes up says like

Error Loading Vehicle
Vehicle: "Sunburst"
Possible Reasons:
-Broken or outdated mods
-Corrupted Files

My install of BeamNG is brand new, only an hour old and aside from BeamMP I have no mods installed. This happens for any vanilla vehicle seemingly randomly. It has happened to the Vivace, Sunburst, ETKi series, the 9, the Roamer, and it has only happened since the new BeamNG update.


In BeamMP this is accompanied by the afflicted car flying off into space.

I have also managed to replicate the glitch in single player on a fully clean install without BeamMP on the system.

What's going on?

No, the issue doesn't seem to happen in safe mode. . .but I've totally gutted and reinstalled BeamNG Drive multiple times. I've deleted all of the folders in AppData and in Documents, could something still be wrong with the user folder?

 

If the problem doesn't happen when running the game in safe mode, it usually means something is wrong with your userfolder.

Something you can try is moving your userfolder to a different location on your PC, start the game to create a new userfolder, then manually copy anything you want to keep from your original userfolder to the new one (settings, custom configs, etc.). Make sure to check the game after you move each folder/file as one of them could cause the problem to appear again.

I've just run around the game for like 2 hours in BeamNG and BeamMP with no issues.

How odd, I'm not sure how a userfolder issue survived like 4 reinstalls but that seems to have been the case.



Edit: Oh, well, 52 minutes apparently, hahaha.

 

Mmmmmm no, the issues have come back. Something is broken in this update I think.

 

Strange, do you see any error messages in the console (press the ~ key) when the issue occurs?

 

I'll get back to you if it happens in single player again, that will give a cleaner error log

Sorry, did you say you saw error messages in the log (in singleplayer or multiplayer)? I play multiplayer and have never encountered this issue.
