Cars Respawn in "Neutral" only? Why?

When I start the game and my car spawns its in Drive and works fine and everything works fine, but once I drive and crash and press "R" to re spawn, my car is in Neutral...I have to press "Q" to put it back in drive? Never had this problem before and not really a big deal, but I like to create chase scenes and when a A/I car crashes and I re spawn that car I want it to be in Drive and get right back into the action, now when I re spawn any car (me or A/I) I have to press "Q" to put each car back into gear.....WHY? I have tried switching from Arcade mode to Realistic mode, I tried removing modes, I uninstalled the game and reinstalled the game, I used stock cars that I have never modified in the garage, it happened to all cars & trucks, I turned on & off driving assistance items like ABS & traction control....

 

Do you have realistic mode or arcade mode enabled as default? Realistic mode will always spawn the car in neutral, and arcade will instantly shift into drive when you hit the gas.

 

Q toggles whether the game automatically shifts into gear for you when you accelerate and having to do it yourself. Assuming that you're just using a keyboard setup, Z and X shift up and down. If you leave it in Arcade Automatic mode, then it automatically shifts when you drive.

 

when I go to options>gameplay>default gearbox behavior is always set to Arcade...but I figured it out "kinda" LoL...I use the Thrustmaster TMX Pro steering wheel with peddles, and I recently did a complete unistall re-install of BeamNG, and when I set up my steering wheel and peddles, I deleted the default settings and assigned the new setting to my steering wheel & peddles, and this is what is causing my problem, because I set all my controls to default, then assigned new controls to my steering wheel and peddles and it works fine, cars always re spawn in gear, perfect....just as a experiment, I deleted keyboard accelerator, keyboard brakes, key board turn left right ect ect ect assigned all those controls to my steering wheel & peddles again and guess what, the cars re spawned in neutral again, so i went to my control settings, click on restore/default control settings, assigned my steering wheel & peddles againg, this time without changing any default settings, and everything works fine....apparently deleting keyboard functions freaks out the cars and causing them to re spawn in neutral...weird but fixed! essential what im saying is "dont delete "W".
