Hey y'all. So I built this PC a few years back, RoR days, and it did decent. If you guys had to pick one part to upgrade, what would be my best bang for the buck? I'm not a gamer, but I still like RoR, Beam, and SpinTires to scratch the wheeling itch when I can't take the 1:1 out... Here is what I've got.
You're going to struggle running much on a GPU with only 1 GB of VRAM these days. Also, an SSD can speed up load and boot times quite a bit.
So the MB and CPU are fairly decent still? What's a good GPU that would pair well with the rest of my gear?
change the processor, if you have a small budget, buy a ryzen 3 1200, you will need to change ram, put 8 or 16 gb ram at 3000 mhz recommended in dual channel, a decent GIGABYTE B450M DS3H motherboard and a video card second hand RX480(low price), and this system will last you a long time
