..., its not working, because you need the edited game lua files, which, judging by everyone saying its not working, isnt included EDIT: just downloaded it myself, it is in fact included, most people must only be importing the actual vehicle, instead of the updated electrics.lua
The electronics.lua and input.lua weren't included in the download extract zip and put the input.lua and electrics.lua in your BeamNg > Lua > vehicles folder. That should work
Re-instal following the install instructions. You have to replace some Lau files aswell as just plopping the file into you vehicles folder.
Good job on this. My suggestion, make it fly without editing lua files, many people including myself don't like to have to mess with the games files, and I think it would be much cooler to be able to fully control the ailerons and elevators with just the arrow keys. Maybe have two versions?
I agree, but as I said before, this is a SIM and planes dont accelerate automaticly haha. Maybe we will make a simple version though
We'd need the throttle on our plane, so even if we had just the ailerons and elevators on the arrow keys, we'd have to give everyone the inputmap with the rewired throttle. Per vehicle inputmap maps or some better control system would be a good thing to have in cases like this one
I actually like the way it crabs and dips on you. Reminds me of flying Piper Cubs and the like - little high-wing airplanes that are easily influenced by the wind, that and it looks almost cinematic bouncing about the clear blue skies.
flying this plane with an xbox controller is pretty difficult as it is now, which is a shame. My only request would be an option to remap the ailerons to the arrow keys and switch the rudder control to 'F/H' keys. Having the ailerons and elevators on the same stick is always ideal, then I could just use joytokey to map the rudder controls to the shoulder buttons.
Oh okay, I see what you mean. I don't play with a controller myself so I didn't really think about that
Re: Cessna 120 A rag doll person maybe.... I just really wanna walk off a cliff. IMAGINE IT! SUICIDAL JUMP SIMULATION
Re: Cessna 120 ..., you do realize this is an E rated game (or i imagine it would be if it got rated by ESRB) although, having a controllable rag doll person would be cool, as then they could also add things such as openable door's, and such, but it would be extremley hard to code
haha, why not? its not often you get a chance to fly a cessna in space lol - - - Updated - - - Going skiing now sadly this means there will be a week of no updates for the plane SOrry but expect something when i get back
So I made a montage with the two new cessnas, it's not perfect but i felt like they needed a tribute, and your 120 is in this :3
