Changing contrast in Beamng Drive makes the game crash???

A very weird thing happened to me when i was playing beamng drive. I was playing around with the contrast and realised it looked super cool with it on while driving so i recorded myself turning it on and driving around until the game crashed saying that the gpu isnt responding. I panicked since the beamng drive sound was still turned on very loud and i couldnt turn the game itself off so i used task thing to turn it off. I clicked copy to clipboard just incase but it didnt work for some reason.

could it be that changing the contrast makes the game unstable?
