mfw someone can't throw down $25 for an extremely advanced and fun game, and wants it for free, so it wouldn't help out devs
That's just pathetic. I mean pirating in general is pretty pathetic, but asking someone who actually cares about the game to give you a pirated link is on a whole new level of low.
Some people really do not know the difference between buying a game and getting it for 'free' online (as obvious as it sounds, it does happen). Others are simply kids whose parents will say no at buying games. There are also people that lives in countries whose game's prices do not really scale with their economic situation, making them a luxury item, or that do not have accessible payment methods. I would not generalize or blame, as everybody has its own background and reasons, rather educate them or so to do the right thing
Well, we live in an era where the bargain buyer has a lot of options if he waits for a discount. Free GTA V, Mafia III 75% off, Car Mechanic Simulator '15 for two bucks...
My Take: Oh look, some guy who probably doesn't even understand how important money is. I mean, seriously. This guy is expecting a free video game for goodness sake. Maybe he's a kid who has controlling parents that won't let him buy a video game, but seriously. If he can, he should support the devs by purchasing the game.
Thats really humble of you guys. I would not be so understanding of pirates if I made a game. Another example of why BeamNG is one of the best game companies.
Usually people asking for free games isnt really that old and its either 2 things: Doesnt have the money or just doesnt want to pay and will download the first malware they see on a russian website their google translate told them will give them what they want.
I remember when I was a kid I played the Just Cause 2 demo endlessly just because there was no way for me to get my hands on a real copy for maybe a year... Hell, I even played the BeamNG demo for ages since I didn't see a point in buying it when I didn't have a computer that could run it decently.
No it doesn't. Have you seen Forza or Gran Turismo go free? Just because a game exists that doesn't mean it HAS to go free.
It could work as a publicity stunt. Or maybe giving away the first 1k or 10k copies free to raise awareness?
That wouldn't be a bad idea, but they would probably have to charge for it eventually, if they wanna make a living off of it.
