Ive noticed the check engine light only comes on when the vehicle stalls, Would be good to have it come on when the engines in trouble due to overheating as well
You mean in the HUD or in the interior of the vehicle? Because ive seen the light coming up in the HUD when the cooling fluid gets too hot. Besides, BeamNG does not features stalling.
What do u mean it cant die lol, you can kill the engine in multiple ways now that they have implemented the thermodynamics, it wont run for more than 10-15min if you remove the radiator, or flip the car upside down. no mods required to kill the engine, remove/damage the rad step on the brakes do a burnout till it locks up xD also you can stall the car in manul trans mode, i just have the More Features Mod so i can start and stop the engine as i please, As far as my original question yes i mean the interior dash check engine light, it should come on when things are going wrong.
I stand corrected. I also believe i think i know what OP really meant. I think he meant to have the engine check light BEFORE the engine stops working.
Yep thats what Im after just like in a real car itl yell at you with warning lights before it lets you run it into the ground but inside the car there's no sign of anything going wrong hehehe
None of the conditions you mentioned would cause check engine light though. There are seperate temperature and oil lights.

Ah yeahh, well the more base model cars ive driven in real life dont have that light specifically so its always been substituted with the check engine or check gauges light coming on, i did notice the moonhawk has a decent amount of warning lights like low oil pressure and low coolant, as well as the check engine light and whatnot, would be amazing for them to actually all be functional in game, that way i could drive around without the apps for engine monitoring and whatnot.
ik for a fact there is a check gauge and check engine light in the 97/06 wrangler, which then u check gauge.
