What should I do?

  1. Tow it to the mechanic

  2. Figure out the code myself

My parents own a 2006 Dodge Caravan that randomly got a Check Engine Light.
Any ideas on what I should do?

In all seriousness, I'd say find out what the code is before dropping it at the mechanic. They'll sure take their time finding the problem if you know what I mean. It's always best to know what the problem is going in to the mechanic and if possible, provide the part yourself.
