Chrome Turning White?

For some reason if I change a part on a car or load up a custom config during gameplay, any part of the car that is chrome, but changeable via paint menu, somehow turns to white for no reason. For some reason it seems to happen mainly with the Barstow and the Moonhawk, though it's more noticeable on the Barstow since the Moonhawk has chrome bumpers that are only paintable with certain designs. Any ideas on how to fix this, or is it just a glitch that needs to be patched out?

 

your using the stripes so its a paint color select it in the paint tab and it should be the second color for the chrome. i use the stripes to make mine into rose chrome personally

This is probably a paint bug, fortunately you can do a quick fix: go into the paint menu and select "Chrome" as the tertiary colour.
