Thread for discussing/showcasing your own Cities Skylines cities Rules: -Please post high effort cities, it wouldn't be ethically worth it to post a city with wiggle mc waggle roads or non alignment issues or major issues such as a death wave. -Please keep the discussion civil, if this rule actually has to come in effect it'll be very embarrassing. -Keep the discussion on topic, thanks! I'll start: Vaar Hertog - Dutch based small town with big city infrastructure that isn't actually Dutch Population: 4743
Mallence: Fictional Canadian city based around a river, with variety of structures. Population: 27,758
Is it a gridded road layout? I'll guess it is because it's common in North America and it's easy to do
I use grids in all of my cities. As I said, it's easy to do and doesn't immediately clog with traffic
I did add a roundabout (also known as a rotary in the states) to help traffic flow move from the highway into the Southern area of the city.
I design my cities in a flow sort of way, different highways connecting to different parts of the city. Have you got the issue where traffic only uses one lane on say, a 3 lane highway?
The pre-mentioned road with the roundabout, almost always. At certain times, they'll use another lane.
Don't know why they still hug that lane, as thanks to that, the lane is very busy. I also like to destroy the city after making my save for the day.
Sometimes I just build really terrible cities so I can destroy them with meteor strikes and tornadoes
The only city I have is Mallence, don't want to risk my computer to big amounts of lag and eventually glitching out on the loading screen on me, therefore I quit the game after that happens. Mallence still takes a bit to load, and can cause harsh lag that can freeze the screen in motion for a few seconds, or even minutes, but atleast it loads.
My computer loads cities that have populations as large as 500,000, that's pretty interesting. Buuuut Cities: Skylines won't load with any more than 700 mods on my part, so, that's a downside
It's entirely new, I started it at the beginning of yesterday and it currently has about 45,000 people
