Hey there! I downloaded the Alitalia Group 4 Rally Car Skin for the Civetta Bolide this morning (Civetta-Bolide-Alitalia-Group-4-Rally-Car download it. It's good!) but RWD and this small engine isn't fun. I wanted an AWD car (and a gymkhana one of course!), so I modded this one to fit the skin. This mod deletes the default engine and adds a 650hp rally engine and a 950hp gymhkana one. It also adds front and rear differentials (regular ones and LSD) so you can choose. The car now has an improved gearbox (6 gears), created for rallying, gymkhana and everything else one doesn't do on regular roads. The gearbox is limited to 295kph. Note: Install the skin first or don't install it at all, otherwise it will overwrite the new engine file. Incompatible with other mods for this car (engines only, skins should work fine). If other engines installed, the differential selection won't appear unless rally or gymkhana engine is selected. If they don't show up, uninstall any other mods for this car, then reinstall the engine. It should look like in post #6 in this thread. If the differentials don't show up, delete all engine files, don't just rename them, then install this mod. Stock transmission doesn't have diffs, so no AWD or FWD here! Stock engine works as expected but it's too weak for AWD (in my opinion).

Re: Civetta Bolide 6-gear AWD (+FWD & RWD) Rally + Gymkhana I dont either. WTF?? I did everything right and I can go in and select the Gymkhana engine and all but all I have is rear wheel drive. There is no slot for a front diff. I dont get it. EDIT: OK so here's what I did to fix it. I totally deleted the old super engine file. I had just renamed it. Then, I got to looking at the new super engine file and noticed near the bottom it said "manual not coded". Well, first thing I normally do is put her in manual so I left it automatic. Then, started it and the front diff option was there. - - - Updated - - -

Re: Civetta Bolide 6-gear AWD (+FWD & RWD) Rally + Gymkhana It's a lot of fun! The Bolide still swerves violently to the right at 144mph but if you can just make it to 154, it straightens out and speeds up to 165+. In all my testing, I managed 0-60 in 2.91 sec consistently.

Re: Civetta Bolide 6-gear AWD (+FWD & RWD) Rally + Gymkhana Weird. I use a Logitech f310 which is an Xbox style wired controller. I don't have an issue with any other cars. I think it's a design flaw or suspension issue. I dunno.
Re: Civetta Bolide 6-gear AWD (+FWD & RWD) Rally + Gymkhana IIRC you hit the resonant frequency of the wheel structure of that speed, causing it to vibrate uncontrollably, and that's why it suddenly veers.

I was under the assumption that was all that was necessary to add engines and stuff to these cars. :edit: nope, not how it works, I really need to read up on the Jbeam stuff.
Re: Civetta Bolide 6-gear AWD (+FWD & RWD) Rally + Gymkhana I had to replace the entire transmission and engine code with my heavily modified pickup code to get it to drive the way I wanted to. But as far as the veering problem, I encountered it around 200MPH, with gentle corrections you can get past it. But getting past 500MPH is very difficult. This is just a fundamental problem with the Bolide, it is a horribly unstable and almost impossible vehicle to drive. But AWD helps a lot. Thankyou Devin, great mod.
