Honestly though it bugs me how everyone complains about when they floor it in a sports car they burnout. Just wanted to show this

In reality, no car handles like this, EOT. On a 7-10 degree curve, you let off the gas where in reality, you could floor it even if it had RWD and 700 HP.

I'm glad you have so much experience driving 70's supercars.

Apparently, I have never driven a car made of rubber that is so damaged (and not supposed to be) it turns left or right on its own, be it a car from 70's or a new one.

Well, get in a fast car and accelerate at max, I bet it won't go straight if you just put your hands in the air. And of course it's not easy to "counter stear" with a keyboard becaue it gives big sudden moves... (Can I say it like that? my english is not top)

Yea you are right, it might turn a bit due to uneven road surface or a drive shaft's vibrations, but the point is...this car turns left and right even if you accelerate very gently :D

Yeah, it pulls to the left at about 80 mph. You do not have to accelerate fast at all for it to do that. You would think it would stick to the road a bit more, being as low to the ground as it is.

Also, how do you know how the bolide drives? you don't even own the game! ;)

Also, guys, I have driven cars before, and notably the 07 Camry if you even have a small deviation in the road your steering wheel will jerk left or right, even at intersections.

Have you checked the condition of your stabilizer bars?

I have a 98 Ford Explorer which did not have a front sway (stabilizer) bar and it would jerk from side to side. If you took your hands off the wheel, it would immediately turn left or right.

I agree, it kinda feels like how most mid engine cars behave on really wet surfaces or on ice. Maybe the tires are made of plastic?

Seems like there are two camps of people here - those who think the car is impossibly hard to drive, and those who think it's perfectly accurate to a real car. The truth is somewhere in the middle. Yes, it veers on its own sometimes, which it probably shouldn't do. Yes, the tires don't track very well. If we could wave a magic wand and fix these things, we would. But most of the handling complaints are completely overinflating the difficulty of driving the car. There are people literally complaining that a RWD car with 300 horsepower spun out because they floored it in the middle of a turn and didn't bother to counter steer. If you think that behavior is unrealistic, you are playing the wrong game. You shouldn't expect to be able to control a supercar in a simulator easily with keyboard, especially when there are no driving aids implemented yet. Even so, if you bother to try to learn the car's handling characteristics (and the game's steering) it's not that difficult to master.

Well I guess I am in both camps, the only issue I have is the steering is too fast, I slowed it down after the video was taken and it handles alot better. I made this topic because I know alot of people were getting annoyed by several topics saying that it is a game bug that you cannot floor a sports car and control it. :p

Well said. If you can control a car in real life, in an emergency situation or normal driving (including drifting, off-roading, or auto-x), controlling vehicles in this simulator should come naturally to you.

The Bolide is a perfect example of a RWD sports car, 8 out of 10 times. Gabester said it best. More often than not, it's pure "user error".

My main grief with it is the fundamental 'quirks' it has. Like the veering issue.

My pickup is fully capable of over 900MPH. It turns, it drifts, it jumps...it can hold a straight line. To be honest it's absolutely perfect in every way, in my opinion. At least I'm happy with it.

The Bolide on the other hand, I can't get it past 450mph without a tire exploding, or I'm unable to keep it straight. So in that sense at least, a pickup should not outperform a sports car.

Neither car is designed to go that fast, so I'd say it's sort of a moot point, and probably just a matter of tuning the tires. You'd have to do some serious modifying of a real vehicle (if you gave it enough power to go that fast) for its tires and chassis to hold up.

Haha, oh yes sorry. I understand it's comparing apples to oranges.

The tires brings up an interesting subject though. I tried swapping the entire code from the pickups default tires, and replacing the Bolides. I actually swapped a lot from the pickup to the Bolide, purely experimenting. But something other than tire code makes the Bolides wheels explode. (Of course at 300MPH+, I'm not complaining. Since this is realistic)

I mean I guess I'm just 'that guy' in a way, talking about how the Bolide can't match the unrealistic super speed of a modified fictional truck, so I'm not crying for a fix or an explanation. It's just simply interesting that there is a 'bug' in the the sports car design or suspension, where as the solid rear axle pickup or even the van seems to not have it.

Once the steering is fixed on the grand marshal...I wonder if my awd marshal can match the pickups top speed, since the marshal has a 4-link rear axle...

My only complaint with the car is that sometime the front suspension breaks very easily, sometimes after 6 seconds of driving, I'm not complaining about the handling.
