    Hello everyone, this is the thread for my mod, the Cloud. I created it because I wanted to have a hover car in BeamNG that was easy to drive. The only other hovercar mod had the Hoverside, which is now outdated. The mod was posted in the Automation section almost 7 months ago in March (at the time of writing). Since then, I have gained more modding knowledge and am excited to announce that this mod will be posted on the normal mods page. You can find a to-do page below the links.

    Nice mod! Haven’t checked it out yet, but I sure will.
    BTW, do you need help with making the configs show up, or have you just not gotten into doing that yet?
    I know how to do it and wanted to ask if you needed help :p

    Thanks! I have all configs expect a new one; it’s called Storm, since the base car is the Cloud. All the other configs are made, I still have to make the performance parts and a couple other things I didn’t list. Also, is the way checking the show configs box on the side of the vehicle selector?

    No, it’s adding an info file. Checking the box also works, but you can do it without needing to check one.
    See how it is with vanilla vehicles, there’s a wigeon „base.pc” config, a „base.png” thumbnail, and a „info_base.json” info file with stuff like name, description, performance etc. This also makes the configs show up with the „custom .PC configurations” box unchecked.

    Ok, I’ll do that. I’m not going to be by my computer for the while, I’ll do it when I can though.

    Okie dokie! I suggest copying info files from vanilla cars, and editing the names and descriptions, as well as the filename itself. You can also test and change the performance specs if you want, but I no longer do that because it can take a while :p

    I was like ‘wait how do I do it’ then I get an alert lol. I’ll see what I can change under performance options, I want this to be as immersive as possible.

    Yeah, I just don’t do them as I have quite a lot of configs (one of my upcoming mods will have up to 100!) so it’d be a bit of a hustle.

    Did I put the files in the wrong folder? I think I have everything correct, but they wont show up unless I deactivate the mod.

    The trailer video is almost done! Still have to edit a few files, and its ready for upload!

    It’s because the info files don’t have the config names capitalized, if the config is Luxe.pc, then the info file has to be info_Luxe.json instead of info_luxe.json
    After info_ make sure it’s identical, even with capitalization.
    I often mess up as for mods for other cars, I start my config names with z_, so I make z_rennspec_v12.pc, but then accidentally info_rennspec_v12 rather than info_z_rennspec_v12. Often gives me a problem :p

    Oh, also, they’re in 0.29/vehicles/cloud/ but they should be in 0.29/mods/unpacked/modname/vehicles/cloud/ as it’s part of the mod, and not configs made by the user. So move those to the mod’s folder and it will propably all work ;)

    the configs are showing! just have to edit a few names, make new thumbnails, finish the trailer, and put the storm in there and its ready for upload!

    Storm is officially in the mod pack!
    To do
    - Add description and performance stats to Storm ✔
    - Separate Storm from Automation ✔
    - Make new thumbnails for Base, Luxe, and Storm
    - Fix Storm performance ✔
    - Fix base model name ( i think i know how to do it, ill make a copy of the bb8b2 config but the name is base, then delete the bb8b2 picture, PC file, and json file, correct me if I'm wrong) ✔

    And after all of these, its going to be ready for release (also I have a 4 day weekend so ill work on this as much as I can)
